Recently watched Lost In Translation by Sophia Coppola. The movie was perfect (5 oscar nominations!!!). The storyline, the details, the exotic feel of Tokyo, it was all just perfect. Although not everybody would found this movie's amazing the way i do. In fact, some of them might be bored watching this. But not me. I understand this movie. This movie is realistic. I love the way the actors gives the real sense of emptiness to the screen. Bill Muray and Scarlett Johanson did a damn fine job! Their role in this movie seems very natural and... normal. And it's written beautifully too. I love their simple chit chat and conversation about their lifes, how good it is but they're not nearly satisfied, and the feel of emptiness within them. Also, it's really simple and lovely. Sophia Coppola's now one of my favourite director.
Hope that i can be just like her when i grow up, making movies such as this.
So here are some quotes and pictures from the scene that i realy like. Some of it can be lessons for life too. So yeah, it's good. Enjoy!
“Your life, as you know it… Is gone. Never to return. But they learn how to walk, and they learn how to talk… And you want to be with them. And they turn out to be the most delightful people you will ever meet in your life.”
“The more you know who you are and what you want, the less you let things upset you.”
